Nathaniel Ellis - War on Authenticity

My name is Nathaniel Ellis.  I am a 21-year-old clothing designer from Lithonia, Georgia.  In December 2019,  I decided to take a chance and start my entrepreneurial journey as a senior in high school with a part-time job. After months of saving, I took the necessary steps to create a business name, register my business name, develop a logo, buy equipment and products, create designs, and launch my brand originally as ’Enigma Garments”. Nine months after launching my business, I went to basic training and school for the Army National Guards and was away from my business for close to a year.

Upon returning home, I immediately refocused on my business and decided to Re-Brand as “EnigmaticLiving” in the summer of 2021. Since the rebranding, I have gone through many failures and successes as I navigate the fashion industry. EnigmaticLiving TheLabel has been seen on many influencers’ social media pages and participated in various pop-up shops and fashion shows. My most recent appearance was at New York Fashion Week, where I showcased my ‘’War On Authenticity’’ Concept for Fall/Winter 2023 Collection.

I have been blessed to have been surrounded by a family of entrepreneurs. I thank so many people in my development during my journey including my mother, Nathalie Ellis, who has provided emotional, mental, spiritual, and financial support on this path.
